Just 10 steps that you must take to file your GST return online.

Step.1: Make sure that you are registered under GST and have the 15-digit GST identification number with you based on your state code and PAN. Phrase if you do not have this number, first register online to get it. 





Step.2:   Next, visit the GST Portal


Step.3:   Now, click on “Returns Dashboard” after that, from the drop-down menu, fill in the financial year and the return filing period.


Step.5:   Next, select the return you want to file and click on “Prepare Online”. 




Step.6:   Now, enter all the required values including the Amount and Late fee, if applicable.


Step.7:   And once you have filled in all the (details) information, click on “Save” and you will see a success message displayed on your screen.


Step.8:   Now click on “Submit” at the bottom of the page to file the return.


Step.9:   Once the status of your return changes to “Submitted”, scroll down & then click on the “Payment of Tax” tile. After that, click on “Check balance” to view cash and credit balance, so that you know these (details) information before paying tax. Now, to clear your liabilities (A liability is a debt owed from one company to a person or company), you need to mention the amount of credit you want to use from the credit already available. Next, you need to click on “Offset Liability” to make the payment. When a confirmation message is displayed, click on “OK”. 





Step.10:   Ending process, you need to check the box against the declaration and select an authorized signatory from the drop-down list. Now click on “File form with DSC” or “File form with EVC” and then only click on “Proceed”. In the next step make the payment,  for your respective GST form.


WALLA !!!!  ITZ  DONE

How do I file Form 10 GST?

Form GSTR-8 is a monthly return form to be furnished by all e-commerce operators who are required to deduct TCS (Tax Collected at Source) under GST. Form GSTR-10 is a final return form to be of accommodation by all taxable persons whose GST registration is canceled or surrendered.

If your business is too small to deal effectively with monthly returns, you can opt for the composition scheme. To qualify, you can only sell goods. You can't be a service provider such as a lawyer, an expert adviser, or a plumber. Your annual sales must also be less than Rs.50 lakh.

Can we file a GST return without payment?

Under the GST law, the filing of return without payment of taxes shall not be considered as a valid return.  In other words, unless the recipient has filed his return and the supplier has paid the entire self-assessed tax and filed his return, the ITC of the recipient would not be confirmed

If GST Returns are not filed within time, you will be responsible by law to pay interest and a late fee.

Late fees are Rs. 100 per day per Act. So it is 100 directly below CGST & 100 directly below SGST.

 Total will be Rs. 200/day. Maximum is Rs. 5,000. There is no late fee on IGST.

Interest is 18% per annum. It has been to be calculated by the tax-payer on the amount of outstanding tax to be paid.

The portion of time will be from the next day of filing to the date of payment.

  1. Tax is deducted at source as per GST (Goods & Services Tax) law when payment made to a supplier exceeds Rs 2.5 Lakh for exchange of taxable goods or services. Additionally, this value is not inclusive of Central, State, or Union Territory/Integrated & Cess taxes or any other forms of tax collected under GST law.
